Patrick F. X. Mulhearn
CEO & Managing Director
Patrick F. X. Mulhearn has been Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of NorBelle, LLC, since November 2002. Mr. Mulhearn was instrumental in securing the venture capital funding and global strategic partnerships necessary to bring Cearch high-accuracy locator technology to market (3Q06). From 2000 to 2002, Mr. Mulhearn served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Milestone Management Group, a venture capital firm specializing in telecommunications. Prior to that, he served as Vice President-Corporate Communications for Bell Atlantic Corporation. In earlier executive appointments, Mr. Mulhearn was Vice President-Public Relations of NYNEX, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of NYNEX Information Resources (NYNEX Yellow Pages), and Assistant Vice President, Business Marketing Operations of New York Telephone. Before joining NYNEX, Mr. Mulhearn served for six years as Counsel to the Mayor of the City of New York, Edward I. Koch. He also served as a top policy advisor to the mayor. In 1988, Mr. Mulhearn was awarded the Medal of the City of New York, for distinguished public service. Mr. Mulhearn holds a bachelors degree in Economics and Communications from Boston College and a law degree from New York Law School.
Norman Mohi
Founder and President
Norman Mohi is a software creator, designer and engineer who founded NorBelle in 1999. He has two key roles at NorBelle: heading the team of software specialists in the company; and guiding the management and professional team in bringing NorBelle’s technology to the consumer, business and carrier markets. Mr. Mohi is one of the authors for NorBelle’s Patents. Before his innovative work in location tracking technology, he was an aerospace engineer for Grumman Aircraft. At Grumman, he served as an Aerodynamics Engineer and Project Engineer, and worked on several military aircraft projects for the United States Navy, including the F-14D, A-6F, E-2C, and the EA-6B. Following his engineering career, Mr. Mohi had extensive experience in software design and development, managing projects for such clients as Merrill Lynch, DLJ, RIA, Thomson Financial Publishing, Neuberger & Berman, and Pepsi Cola. Mr. Mohi holds a degree in Aerospace Engineering from Polytechnic University in New York.
James Hume
Chief Technical Officer
James Hume is a leading technologist in the Global Positioning System (GPS) industry. He is a former Vice President and Director of Magnavox ESC, one of the pioneers of the GPS industry. He has an extensive background in developing technologies involving wireless communications and GPS, particularly applications requiring a high degree of navigation, tracking or measurement accuracy. He has a total of 35 years of general management, marketing and product development experience and has managed several companies for the Global, Dutch-based electronics giant, Philips Electronics. For Philips’ subsidiary, Magnavox Electronic Systems Company, a strategic business unit with sales and service in over 30 countries, he was Vice President and Director of Commercial Navigation and Positioning, with full P&L responsibility
Mark Caron
Executive Vice President Business Development
In 2000 Mark Caron founded MobileSpring, a cross-carrier messaging service that proved pivotal in driving the growth of text messaging in the United States. In 2003 Mark led MobileSpring into a merger with Ztango, a leading provider of ring tone solutions to U.S. carriers. Under his leadership, MobileSpring/Ztango became profitable within six months. In October 2004, Ztango was acquired by WiderThan, a Korean-based global leader in wireless data services. Prior to MobileSpring/Ztango, Mark was co-founder and head of marketing and business development at Omnipoint Communications Services (OCS). OCS was one of the most successful wireless start-ups in the industry. The company had one million customers and a revenue run-rate of over $500 million before it was sold to VoiceStream/T-Mobile in 2000 for over $6 billion. Mr. Caron has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Computer Science and Economics from Dartmouth College.
Jon B. Tingley
Senior Vice President Marketing
Jon Tingley, who manages NorBelle's partnership with key technology companies, is a former Chief Development Officer for Infinity Worldwide Telecom where he led efforts to fund an international cable system linking Europe and West Africa. In addition, Jon founded a consulting business, Stanton International LLC, to provide advisory services to private equity and venture capital firms engaged in telecom transactions, and assist telecom service providers with product strategy and market planning. Jon's industry experience includes Global Crossing, where he was the Senior VP of Product Management, and AT&T Corporation where he held such positions as International Vice President - Traffic Management, Director - International Corporate Development; Regional Managing Director (Asia) - New Market Development, and Marketing Director - WorldPartners Company.
Kevin Lawless
Vice President Business Development (Europe)
Kevin Lawless is the former Marketing Director, Europe, Middle East and Africa for Motorola, where he focused on helping define Motorola’s “voice” within EMEA, as well as aggressively positioning the company to capture brand leadership. His team handled product and service sales, brand management, advertising, promotional activities, agency management, and a global consumer insights research program. Kevin was also responsible for creating Motorola’s network operator business strategy, which refocused product design toward consumer demand. Before this, he held various sales management positions at Xerox, CTL Group plc and JP Morgan bank. Mr. Lawless earned his Masters degree in Marketing from Kingston University, England.
